Radio City 96.7 is an independent local radio station and is Liverpool’s biggest. It broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to Merseyside and aurrounding areas and is part of the Big City Network. The Big City Network is a network of independent local radio stations across the North of England and are all owned by a company called Bauer Radio.

Radio City 96.7 was originally launched back in 1974 with the first song ever played being Stevie Wonder – You Are the Sunshine of My Life. It has previously been known as City FM and 194 Radio City back in the early days and the Radio City 96.7 fm signal comes from a transmitter in Allerton Park in the south of Liverpool.
Some of Radio City’s well known presenters are Lee Butler, Neil Fitzmaurice, Simon Greening, Simon Ross and Pete Price.
Pete Price is best known for his controversial Sunday night talk show – Pete Price Unzipped. It broadcasts live from 10 o clock in the evening until 2 o clock in the morning. It has built up a wide fan base across the Liverpool region that grew nationwide and now Pete also has listeners tuning in from across the globe via live streaming capabilities online.
