Liverpool ONE is a fantastic shopping and leisure centre in the heart of the city of Liverpool. The project was fully completed in October 2008 during the year of Liverpool’s European Capital of Culture. It cost around £500 million to make and features over 160 top of the range shops, tasty restaurants, amazing views over the city and much more.
Visitors to Liverpool ONE can expect to be overwhelmed with top branded stores including Debenhams, John Lewis and Topshop as well as indulge in some tasty cuisine in the range of restaurants on the Leisure Terrace. The Leisure Terrace also overlooks the famous Chavasse Park where you can kick back after a hard days shopping and watch the world go by.
At Liverpool ONE it’s not all about shopping, there really is something for everyone including amazing views of the city due to the height above sea level, and for those who aren’t fazed by heights there is the new Liverpool ONE wheel where you can really get above and beyond and take some spectacular aerial shots. In addition to this there is the Odeon Liverpool ONE cinema which was opened in October 2008 following its relocation from London Road. The new Odeon is located within South John Street and has over 3000 seats and 14 massive screens, it’s the biggest cinema in Liverpool.
Liverpool ONE is primarily split into 4 main sections, Peter’s Lane, Paradise Street, South John Street and the Leisure Terrace. Peter’s Lane has some excellent top-brand stores including Reiss, Flannels and Topshop whereas Paradise Street not only offers a wide range of stores from Lacoste to New Look, it also features some cool stop-off spots such as Starbucks and Pret A Manger to grab yourself a coffee or two. South John Street is for the more family-friendly shopper. There are loads of great stores including the Disney shop, Warehouse, HMV, WH Smith and of course the Liverpool FC and Everton FC official stores. Up on the Leisure Terrace you really can be 0 to chilled within minutes. Chavasse Park offers open space, snack bars and brilliant views over the Albert Dock where you can kick back and unwind. There are many tasty restaurants on offer including the famous Nando’s, Yee Rah and Chaophraya along with your more famously known good old Pizza Hut!
Liverpool ONE really is the place to be for shopping, leisure, tourism and business. It is thriving everyday and has been an amazing addition to the city of Liverpool. There are parking spaces aplenty for those concerned, with 3000 spaces alone in the Liverpool ONE underground multi-storey, not to mention the car parks also available in John Lewis and the Albert Dock.
